Down Memory Lane

For music from the first half of the 20th century join host Streamer as she takes you ‘down memory lane.’

Hear those great tracks..crooners, big bands, vintage comedy, and sing-along favourites.

Hot, Sweet & Jazzy

Music with a jazz feel along with entertaining and informative chat.

The presenters have a range of expertise and styles of humour!

You’ll hear recordings from the 1920s onwards, from current musicians in Australia and elsewhere, and in particular styles such as neo-swing.

Jazzy invites listeners to relax deep into the passenger seat, and shines the headlights towards the people behind the players.

Hot, Sweet and Jazzy is a program that brings the fun back into music. A team of presenters brings you interesting and enjoyable music, much of it not available on Australian radio, along with entertaining and informative chat.

The music is jazz and jazz-aligned, but covering many possible definitions of ‘jazz’! There are no limits to the program’s musical sources, but Australian musicians provide an important part of the material. The show is probably most suitable for afternoon and evening.

Hot, Sweet and Jazzy’s presenters are all music enthusiasts and many are practising musicians:
” Peter Milley: trumpeter and leader of the Cairo Club Orchestra; record collector; supplied period recordings for the soundtrack to the Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries series.
” Peter Fogarty: music lover; arranger; singer in jazz bands.
” Ian Coots: former professional drummer for over 25 years; record collector.
” Ken Hirst: former bass player with jazz and blues bands; leader of his own Neo Swing Band – Swing It!
” Ross Williamson: music lover; program co-ordinator.
” John Thompson: student of jazz and of its roots; country blues aficionado; record collector.
