NIMA Chart Show

Join Matty J as he counts down the top 10 most played songs by first nations artists on Aussie radio each week.

Thanks to the National Indigenous Music Awards for providing the chart each week.

The National Indigenous Music Awards (NIMAs) are recognised as one of Australia’s most prominent Indigenous music awards and have been celebrating Australian music for 16 years.

The NIMAs showcase the rich musical landscape of Australia and highlight the music coming from all corners of the country. The Awards bring together acts who are yet to make their mark on the world alongside those who have achieved international acclaim, such as Gurrumul & Jessica Mauboy.

Lisa Zanderigo is a practicing and exhibiting visual artist, with a Master of Visual Arts.

Originally from NZ, I moved to Sydney to take up a Bachelor of Visual Arts in Photomedia at Sydney University, and stayed for the warmer weather and sea temperatures. I spent 30 years teaching at Uni & TAFE in Sydney, before moving up to the Mid North Coast to take advantage of the beautiful environment, the slower pace and to focus more on my art practice.

As a visual artist, I’m very curious about the world and music always accompanies me wherever I go. I’m drawn primarily to great musicianship, great song writing, and a great voice. That means my tastes are eclectic excluding only a few genres.

I came to 2NVR through a friend, who was sitting in with another announcer. I’m enthusiastic about volunteering for community radio and contributing to the local community.
